The Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Services coordinates prevention, intervention, education, and peer leadership opportunities in the area of substance abuse. Join us! Student involvement is a key part of what we do. Our peer education groups are governed for students, by students. AlcoholEdu

As part of our comprehensive alcohol prevention program, for the sixth year running the University of Connecticut is requiring that each member of the first-year class complete AlcoholEdu - an online, non-opinionated alcohol prevention program for college students.

First Year Students
Open to students of the incoming class of 2012 for both the Storrs and Regional Campuses.
Parents
Open to parents of the incoming class of 2012 for both the Storrs and Regional Campuses.
Fraternity & Sorority
Open to students who are members of fraternities & sororities at UConn.
Athletes
Open to students participating in varsity sports at UConn.
Student Leaders
Open to orientation leaders, student government members, resident assistants, and members of student clubs or organizations at UConn.
Campus / Community Professionals
Open to faculty and staff members of the UConn campus, as well as members of the Mansfield Community Campus Partnership.

Anger Management Student Group

The Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Services is offering a new Anger Management Group to help student focus on alternative way of dealing with anger.

  • Group Meets:
    Thursdays, from 4:30 to 5:30pm
    Wilson Hall (South A), Room 128
  • Topics include:
    Recognizing signals of anger
    Managing anger effectively
    Developing self control
    Relaxation skills
