Spring Weekend Committee
The Spring Weekend committee was established in 2004 and is dedicated toward making Spring Weekend a tradition that both the University of Connecticut and the surrounding community can be proud of. The first and foremost responsibility of the committee is helping to create an atmosphere of prevention that minimalizes the risks to students, while providing alternative activities that allow students to make healthy, legal, and fun decisions. Because this is the University of Connecticut’s weekend, the committee strives to ensure that University of Connecticut students have a choice in what events are held, and ultimately take ownership of their Spring Weekend.
Do you want to join in the effort and have a say in making Spring Weekend a safer place for UConn students?
Would you like to see a variety of programs and activities that do not revolve entirely around alcohol?
This Committee is open to all members of the UConn community who would like to make a difference by positively affecting change throughout the campus and surrounding community during Spring Weekend in Storrs. Meetings are every Wednesday at 12 p.m. in Wilson Hall (South A), Room 124/5.
